Welcome to April! On the heels of Hersheypark promoting the 2019 summer season, and the reveal of the 2019 Springtime in the Park map, is an announcement regarding the 2019 Springtime in the Park event.
Springtime in the Park schedule
Hersheypark will be in operation for Springtime in the Park on the weekends of April 6 and 7, April 13 and 14, and April 19, 20, and 21. On Friday and Saturdays the park will be open from 10am to 9pm and on Sundays the park will be open from 10am to 6pm. Sweet Start is not available during Springtime in the Park.
New for this year
Hersheypark will have a temporary entrance for 2019 while Hershey’s Chocolatetown is under construction. A picture of the temporary entrance is below.
New food options will be available, including a Chick-Fil-A food truck. The menu for the gluten-free and nut-free stand The Outpost, located in Pioneer Frontier Food Court, has been redone and will debut on April 6. The kiddie rides Bizzy Bees and Ladybug have been re-themed to a Reese’s Cupfusion theme: Bizzy Bees is now Minty Bees and Ladybug is now Misfit Bug.
Carrousel turns 100
This Springtime is notable for this being the start of the celebration of the 100th birthday of Hersheypark’s Carrousel. The Carrousel, which was purchased by Hersheypark during World War II and installed in the park in 1945, was manufactured by Philadelphia Toboggan Company in 1919.
