Intamin consortium
Intamin was created as a consortium to sell amusement park rides in Europe and the Americas. From their founding in 1967 to the mid-1980s, the company only sold rides, not manufacture them.
From the mid-1980s to the late-90s, the company took direct ownership of a variety of different ride types through the acquisition of a variety of divisions of companies they had represented over the prior 20 years. Intamin sub-contracted the manufacture of rides during this period.
From 1998 to present, the company has directly manufactured their own rides and sold them.
