Over the next few weeks I will be publishing articles about the manufacturers and designers of Monorail systems that have operated at amusement parks, zoos, world’s fairs, et cetera. I will be starting out with focusing on the Monorail at Hersheypark and the manufacturer and designer of that system. I will branch out to other companies beyond that, as well.
I wanted to take a moment to dedicate these articles to Kim A Pedersen, founder of The Monorail Society, who passed away on January 24. He had just published a book on monorail systems titled Monorails: Trains of the Future – Now Arriving. He will undoubtedly be missed in the community. I wish nothing but the best for his friends and family during these tough times.
