The History of Canyon River Rapids in Hersheypark
Canyon River Rapids, opened in 1987 at Hersheypark, was a significant addition following sooperdooperLooper. Costing $4 million, it featured a water ride with 1,700 feet of rapids. Officially closed in 2008, it was replaced by a wave pool and lazy river.
