This website has turned one year old this week, though some articles are about a month older (I backdated articles to when I started writing Throwback Thursday posts in mid-February 2016 on the Hersheypark History Group on Facebook). When I chose the name for this website, I chose In The Park, as being an homage of being in an amusement park. When I picked a domain for this website, I wasn’t able to get a URL that was related to the name In The Park. As a result, I chose “parkhistories.com”. Though the name and URL were okay names, I haven’t liked either name – especially that they were different.
After spending some time giving this strong consideration and with the help of friends – the website is in the process of updating the name and the URL. Effective on March 25, 2017, the name of this website will become The Amusement Parkives. On the same day, the URL will switch from parkhistories.com to amusementparkives.com. There will also be a shorter URL – parkives.com. That URL will point directly to amusementparkives.com.

I look forward to what comes next for The Amusement Parkives. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read my website. I really appreciate it!
