Tudor Square

1973 Tram Circle - Grand Concourse - Tudor SquareTudor Square was one of two themed areas added to Hersheypark in 1973 and is the only themed area located outside the fence line. (Note – ZooAmerica is inside Hersheypark’s fence though it has a separate entrance on Park Avenue.) Tudor Square was themed after the other significant historical tie to Central Pennsylvania – England’s Tudor era.  This was also part of the cultural exposition that Hersheypark used as its theme.

Buildings in Tudor Square were used for shops with candy and souvenirs. A restaurant was built – originally called Tudor Rose, currently called Hersheypark Place. The area began at Tram Circle, across from Chocolate World, and ended at the Main Gate of the park, opposite Rhineland.

Tudor Square was combined with several other themed areas in 2014 to form Founder’s Way.
